Mohanlal is going to make a new record with his new film. The film which is titled as Bhagavan, directed by debutant Prasanth Mambulli is now going to hold the record in the history of commercial cinema by completing the entire shooting in just 12 hours using nine camera units. The shooting began at 9 a.m. and ended at 9 p.m. on Monday at Kunnamkulam near Thrissur.
Mohanlal is playing the lead role in this movie as a gynecologist in a hospital. The theme of the movie is about some terrorists trying to kidnap the home minister who was admitted in a hospital. The film contains chilling scenes of commandos being airdropped atop a hospital to free the Home Minister taken hostage by terrorists. Mohanlal plays a doctor in the hospital who fights the terrorists along with the commandos.
Others in the cast are National Award winner Priyamani, Laxmi Gopalaswamy, Prakashraj and Nasser. The film got completed at an estimated cost of Rs.20 million. Bhagavan presents five lyricists and five debutant music directors. Produced by Vijesh Mani under the banner of Anaswara Cinemas, Bhagavan is set to release on January 23, 2009.
