Mohanlal's latest sensational movie Saagar Alias Jackie - Reloaded is progressing with it's shooting. The movie which is Planned as a sequel to Mohanlal's 1987 blockbuster Irupatham Noottandu directed by K. Madhu, is directed by Malayalam's most stylish director Amal Neerad of Big B fame and produced by Antony Perumbavoor under the banner of Ashirvad films.Currently it's the second schedule of the film in progress and the shooting will be at Dubai, from December 19, 2008, for about 10 days and then the crew will return for the next major schedule in Ernakulum. The first schedule of the movie was completed recently after the shooting at the locations of Goa, Leh and Vizhinjam at Thiruvananthapuram.
Along side Mohanlal, this film also features Jagathy Sreekumar, Nedumudi Venu, Suman, Manoj K. Jayan, Ganesh, Vinayakan, Baiju, Sumeeth, Sreeraman and others. After the hit film Chotta Mumbai, Bhavana will be seen once again as the heroine of Mohanlal in this movie. Bhavana plays Namitha Menon, a CNN reporter in this film. Yesteryear heroine Shobhana and Meena also plays two vital roles in the film. Jyothirmayi will appear in the film with a short cameo.
The script of the movie is handled by S N Swami, who is the writer of prequel too. Lyrics of the movie was penned by Rio Joy, a debutant and that lyrics were tuned by Gopi Sundar. The film that is progressing quickly will be a stylish thriller on the lines of the Tamil film Billa and Hindi film Don. This movie is slated for a Vishu release in next year.
