Our Universal star Mohanlal is currently busy shooting for his new malayalam film Kandahaar, directing by Major Ravi. After a small gap, Mohanlal's well appreciated character of Major Mahadevan will soon hit the screens with the mission based on the well-documented Kandahaar Air India flight hijacking incident of 1999.
The shooting for this film is progressing in Koonar regiments at Ooty where Major Ravi is capturing Mohanlal taking classes to commandos. The notable news is that Shehenshah of Bollywood, Amitabh Bachchan had joined the set today, and the scenes that will feature Mohanlal and BigB together will be shot there.
In a new development, yesteryear actress Sumalatha will also act in this film after a gap of several years. She will be appearing in a short role as the wife of the character played by Amithabh Bachchan in the movie.
Besides these actors, this film also features Ganesh Venkatraman, Bollywood star Sunil Shetty, Anoop Menon, Tamil actress Kaveri Jha and Kannada actress Ragini Dwivedi etc.
