On Lights Out, Pablo Schreiber plays Johnny, a once promising boxer who now (mis)manages the career of his brother, former heavyweight champ "Lights" Leary (Holt McCallany). In real life, he can relate to living in the shadow of a more celebrated sibling as the half-brother of movie star Liev Schreiber (Salt). "I've always dealt with the repercussions, positive and negative," says the actor, 32. "Sharing the same name, you get some recognition, but there are also expectations and comparisons that aren't always fair."

Pablo, who's 11 years younger and didn't know Liev growing up, has made a name for himself with a pivotal role on The Wire, a thriving stage career and his electrifying work on Lights. This week, Johnny's connection to Lights is threatened by the presence of a new trainer (Oz's Eamonn Walker). "After Lights invites this guy into his camp, Johnny will do anything he can to get him out," warns Schreiber.

Though the 6'3" actor has boxed before, basketball is his first love. When his hoops career faded in college, "acting took the place of basketball in terms of my need for attention," Schreiber admits. "When I first took up acting, it wasn't to be an artist — it was to be looked at and maybe to get some chicks." Now that he's happily married to a yoga teacher, Jessica, and living with their 2-year-old son in New Jersey, "I'm completely cured of my need for attention," he jokes. "But thank you for writing an article about me!"

Lights Out airs Tuesdays at 10/9c on FX.
