Her acting debut was in the 1975 film Julie, with Laxmi and Nadira, at the age of twelve.
But before that, she had appeared as a child actor in films, starting out at the age of four.
She left acting in 1997 to become a mother, but before that, she appeared in almost three hundred Hindi, Tamil, Kannada Telugu, Malayalam films.
